Palmetto Community Health Care Is Now
Palmetto Free Clinic!!!!!!!

Why Are We Changing Our Name?
Over time, we learned that our former name sometimes caused confusion. Some patients were unsure whether:
-
Our services were truly free
-
Insurance was required
Our new name—Palmetto Free Clinic—clearly reflects who we are and what we do:
-
We provide free health care
-
We serve uninsured, qualified adults
-
We remove financial barriers to care
This change helps ensure that individuals who need care understand they can receive services at no cost.
Stories of Care & Compassion
A Heartfelt Thank You to Atrium Shiland Family Medicine and Smith Dray Line!!!
Palmetto Community Health Care is deeply grateful for the generosity and support of two incredible community partners—Atrium Shiland Family Medicine and Mr. Harry Johnson of Smith Dray Line Moving & Storage in Rock Hill.
Thanks to a kind donation from Atrium Shiland Family Medicine, our clinic received beautiful lobby and exam room furniture to help us create a more welcoming and comfortable space for our patients. When we learned we needed to pick up the furniture on short notice, Mr. Harry Johnson and his team at Smith Dray Line stepped in and handled everything with care and efficiency. Not only did they transport the donated items to our clinic, but they also removed our old furniture—as an in-kind donation to our clinic.
We are truly touched by this act of kindness and community spirit. Our team—affectionately known as the “Dream Team”—came together to clean, organize, and transform the space in between patient visits. The results are amazing, and our waiting room now feels brand new!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Patricia Hawthorne at Atrium Shiland Family Medicine, Mr. Harry Johnson, and everyone at Smith Dray Line for going above and beyond to support our mission.
Together, we’re creating a healthier, more hopeful community—one act of kindness at a time.
